Thursday, August 28, 2008. I've been really thinking about how to handle things as we come up to all the big dates. I'm just trying to prep myself the best I can. I know there is no right or. Wrong way to deal with the anniversary of the death of your child. Everyone deals differently. I'm just not sure how we are going to deal with all of it. I've been trying to find something to distract me and channel my energy. My personal goal for Brooklyn's Blood Drive would be 46 donors. Why 46?

Thursday, October 16, 2008. The only peace I have is knowing that now she is safe and her heart is whole in heaven. She won't ever feel pain again. One day we'll see her again. I guess what I can't wrap my head around is whether or not she'll be baby or grown up when we see her again. I just hope that I recognize her when I see her again far in the future. Monday, December 1, 2008. It was such a comfort to be home and with Andy. Despite the pain, I refused to get out of bed to pump. My body was done. I literally slept until 4pm the next day. I couldn't get out of bed. I didn't want to get out of bed. I was hoping that at some point I'd wake up from the nightmare that I was living. Monday, October 20, 2014. This weekend we hosted Aubrey's seventh birthday party at our home. This girl is all about Barbies these days and wanted a Barbie themed party. Her and I browsed Pinterest and found all sorts of fun things. I love that she is old enough to make decisions and to help plan her own party. First off, we decided on a vintage Barbie theme.
