Tuesday, August 4, 2015. As we waited to board our boat, there was a waterfall, of course! I made sure to get a picture of the kids in front of it. There was no way that we'd see a waterfall and not get a picture of it! When it was our turn to board the jet boat, we ended up in the very front. That meant only one thing. Sunday, August 9, 2015. One thing that Phil had wanted to do on our vacation, besides eating lots of blackberries, was to go deep sea fishing in the ocean. So on an early Wednesday morning, he and my dad got up to try out their own version of The Deadliest Catch. Here are some photos from their day at sea. Phil was sure he was going to get seasick. Luckily he and my dad both kept their food down the entire trip. They started out trying salmon fishing. My dad caught a silver salmon. Isn't it a beauty?

Monday, August 3, 2015. Playing With The Toys. Both kids were impressed when they learned that Nana knew how to play the piano. Bradynn talked my mom into giving her a quick lesson on the piano. Both kids enjoyed playing it whenever they got the chance. Who knows? Maybe the musical abilities jumped a generation and we will be hearing our own musicians someday. Friday, August 7, 2015. Another Fun Time On The Lake. We were able to get out on the lake, again. It was nice since the kids knew what to expect this trip. We started by going out to a floating dock in the middle of the lake. It was fun to jump off it and just play in the water. After awhile, though, we had to move on. When my mommy was 17 weeks pregnant they found out that I have a severe heart defect called an unbalanced atrioventricular septal defect. This means I have holes in the septal wall of my heart and that only 1 of my 2 ventricles is working properly. This heart defect was caused by trisomy 21 often known as Downs Syndrome.
