Snapshots of a bug's life. Thursday, June 28, 2012. A change of pace. We have been so fortunate that our babe and my pregnancy has been incredibly healthy. unfortunately "the vessel" has not faired as well. i think long hours, combined with primary care pediatric exposures and e's new adventures in preschool germs, has led to me being sick ALOT this pregnancy. ALOT! I had the rare double digit stretch of days without a viral illness. Here are some images from our week of living at a little slower pace.

This weekend was pat's triathlon. i have mentioned this upcoming event a couple of times in my previous posts. i am always amazed by pat, but over the past several months i have been in awe. his ability to juggle childrearing, his culinary pursuits, my pitiful overworked/often sick pregnant self and to add to that training for a triathlon is nothing but admirable. he has shown such poise and determination. Strategizing before the race. A change of pace.

Last week, in a flurry of activity, we decided to buy a house. i believe that house hunting is pat's form of nesting. we have looked at several "fixer-uppers" and partially renovated homes in our favorite neighborhoods in bellingham over the past couple of months. none of which were compelling enough to take the leap. Today was inspection day - so we decided to make it a family affair. Leftover supplies from the canning cellar.
