Silas was born on October 21, 2007, at 11:45 am He weighed 7 lbs., 3 oz., and measured 20 1/2 inches. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. It's Silas's birthday tomorrow - he will be two years old. But as all mothers know, it will also be the anniversary of Meredith's awe-inspiring hard work. Two years ago, late on a Sunday morning, Meredith brought Silas into this world after a long night at St. Luke's. It's also amazing to watch how quickly Meredith can fall asleep on the floor. And well done Mum and Dad!

Meredith, at the time of this picture (March 5), had 11 weeks left until her due date (May 26). We finally had a warm Saturday. Our local playground has been sparsely populated all winter, but today it seemed as if everyone in Inwood made it outside.
