Tuesday, March 15, 2011. DC Trip Part Two - DC. Someone I know loves vacation. Somebody besides me, that is. I think this is the longest she's ever stayed in one place - at least 3 whole mins. On to see our good friends - we miss them dearly. Jason is her buddy (and Erik's best friend of 17 years). Elizabeth has become Stella's best friend (Jason's wife - we went to high school with these guys! Elizabeth began knitting recently and is doing a knockout job! Glorious mornings at the hotel. And then onto "t...

Thursday, August 26, 2010. Like every stage has, this stage will turn into another that I will fight to keep close to my heart. But for now, I rush nothing. I hold her as close to my body as often as she'll let me, and even closer to my deep, deep soul. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Building a Nest: June 2010

Friday, June 4, 2010. Everyone says it. They grow up too fast. It's hard to understand until you're witnessing your own child barreling ahead toward adulthood. That first year is also just so mind-blowing. The changes and the advancements that happen in such a short time are seemingly impossible. From complete and utter physical (and emotional) dependence to happily moving about the house.with or without you. She waves and says,. Bye-bye. She says. Do you want to take a bath? Good night, she's beautiful!

Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Tea Party with Grandpa. Thursday, November 17, 2011. We had Stella's 2nd birthday party at the pool at our neighborhood "Y". Some of her special friends and cousins were able to make it, though we were missing 5 cousins this year (my brother has 5 boys! Erik's dad was even able to join us from Louisiana (in the orange shirt). He helped us sooooo much, right in the midst of me being miserable with morning sickness. Thank you, Grandpa! Cousin David is so sweet with her.

Sunday, April 3, 2011. We had a fun fondue dinner at home. She got a sweet little apron for her long afternoons spent in the kitchen with Mommy. And we ended her second Valentine's Day as intimately as possible. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Ice Cream by Heather. Movies in Your Park. Sunday, April 25, 2010. It's baseball season and we had our first practice. Doh, where'd it go? Look at 'er go! With a little bit of hand. Always keep your eye on the ball! And be as cute as possible. We had a very small Easter gathering this year. Sadly, there is a family feud that has interrupted larger holiday gatherings, but Stella still had a very nice first Easter. Waiting for company to arrive. Still waiting (they got held up). Lavender champagne and lavender iced tea.yum. Saturday, April 24, 2010.

Saturday, May 19, 2012. And Baby Makes Four. Looking back at the date of my last post, it is clear that the holidays hit right after that. Since then, our beautiful son has joined us in the flesh. Fahren Cyril (we call him Cyril) was born at home at 1:50am on February 19. Stella wakes up to a new baby brother (the sex was a surprise). A tired daddy the morning of the birth. Stella started a ballet, tap and tumbling class the week before he was born. My dad comes for a visit. Stella sports her tap shoes.

Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Couple More from Easter. I forgot a few Easter pictures from my Dad's house (the other ones were from another family gathering). Belly shot (my dad's backyard is total Texas Hill Country). So I'm obviously having trouble keeping up with my blog. Different reasons every day. But mostly it's because I spend about 30 mins a day on the computer, and this falls at the bottom of the list. Here are some of my favorite shots from Easter:. This is at home before we went to see family.

Saturday, May 14, 2011. Something happened to Blogger and this post was lost. Posting again - sorry for the repeat). A house we couldn't afford. A house we didn't live in long. A house we lost when my brother and I had a nearly fatal car accident and had no insurance. We lost a lot that we never really had in the first place. But even more so, my parents' marriage ended after that. The scars on my face from the accident are reminders of it all. Or if they were "baby" enough? No Will she ever?
