The life of the Mauers. Thursday, March 3, 2011. 9 months old and going strong! It’s been a while since I have updated. Obviously 2 has made me a lot busier than just one! The kids are growing so fast. Ella is close to 2 1/2 and can speak very fluently. She can count to 10 in Spanish and still continues to learn more sign language. Ethan, who is 9 months now, just got his 5th tooth, and can stand on his own. He is very close to those first few steps…and then let the running begin! It was snowing outside!

The life of the Mauers. Monday, October 19, 2009. Thanks to a friend, we got free tickets to Sea World, so we went on down and spent a couple hours walking around…here are some highlights…. Looking at the Clydesdale. Ella and Mamma at her first live show. Ella is getting ready to see Shamu. Ella got to touch the sea stars in the touch tank. Here we are by a giant octopus! The life of the Mauers. Thursday, August 13, 2009. 2 year anniversary camping trip. For our 2nd year anniversary, Brian took a day and night off his crazy summer schedule and the family headed up river into the high country. We landed by beautiful Peppermint Creek. Ella wants to help her daddy with the cooking! We took a 20 sec. walk to the creek behind our tent. We had some fun and games in the tent! We hiked up stream the next morning and went for a dip in some pools. Here's Ella with Brian and Chris!

The life of the Mauers. Friday, November 21, 2008. Ella got to go on her first trip to San Francisco today! She crossed the bay bridge and went to Golden Gate Park to the California Academy of Science. Here she is with her favorite aunt Elizabeth! Now she is playing with a ray and a bunch of pretty fish! Watch out for the DINO FOOT! We saw an Albino alligator. Next we ran from the hungry cheetah! Saturday, November 8, 2008. We saw lots of different types of trees, with the giant sequoias stealing the show.

The life of the Mauers. Friday, November 27, 2009. We took a trip to Yosemite in November and had to bundle up because it was cold! 160; Temp. dropped into the 20’s…brrrr…. We were camping with a large group of friends, one of which had their son Colton with them. Here are the kids sharing some snacks at a kid sized picnic table. Look at that view of Half dome. She was fascinated by all the glasses in Claire's and tried on about a dozen or so just laughing and giggling. She does love a good pair of shades. This is the face I came home to when I was away at St. Kitts for a week. I think she was loved very much. She is very quiet. She is very helpful to others in her class.
