A Path Through Tall Grass: May 2015
http://jankwanomedic.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
A Path Through Tall Grass. It began as two months working with an AIDS program in Africa. Now I'm connected for life! This is long and mostly for my family, so feel free to peruse or not as your heart desires. (My cousin took the photos, so I only have two or three, which I haven't uploaded yet.). Lastly we visited the coral reef exhibit, where Anna was delighted to identify several unicorn fish, which she had seen in a photo at the Columbia, SC zoo where we’re members. J. All in all, except for Timothy&...

A Path Through Tall Grass: November 2014

A Path Through Tall Grass. It began as two months working with an AIDS program in Africa. Now I'm connected for life! The great escape meets divine appointment. Tinkerbell came as soon as I called her after stepping outside. But I'd left that window open in the house, so I couldn't put her inside. I had to hold her while I kept calling for Joey. That rascal did not come quite so quickly. I'm not a super-Christian for praying with some lady facing a lot of anxiety and worry. I'm just excited that God ...

A Path Through Tall Grass: The Dance
http://jankwanomedic.blogspot.com/2015/01/the-dance.html
A Path Through Tall Grass. It began as two months working with an AIDS program in Africa. Now I'm connected for life! The warm night air is filled with excitement and joy. Three boys beat out a steady African rhythm on the drums as the rest of the children sing and dance in ecstasy. In the darkness, I can barely make out the faces of my peers, joy radiating from their faces. I feel myself pulled along by the current. The rhythm flows through me, and I am suddenly part of a different world. Wit : A Play.

A Path Through Tall Grass: Stationary
http://jankwanomedic.blogspot.com/2014/11/stationary.html
A Path Through Tall Grass. It began as two months working with an AIDS program in Africa. Now I'm connected for life! As of last week, I have lived continuously in one state for four years. You might not think that's anything special, but maybe you'll understand when I give you another piece of information:. The last time I lived in one state continuously for four years was from 1987 to 1991. This is the first time since I was nine years old that I've called one state "home" for four years in a row.

A Path Through Tall Grass. It began as two months working with an AIDS program in Africa. Now I'm connected for life! I recently told a friend that sometimes I think I might remember too much. This is a complicated statement, so let me briefly try to explain. On the same note, part of it is that I remember the emotions related to the experience, which are sometimes fantastic and sometimes harrowing. Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job? The people are incredibly funny and enjoyable to work with...

A Path Through Tall Grass. It began as two months working with an AIDS program in Africa. Now I'm connected for life! To the reader who wrote a bitter comment. You know who you are. And you left your profile as "Anonymous" probably for a reason. Since I can't respond to you personally, I'll go ahead and do so here. Second, if you know me personally and have not told me these things to my face, I'm embarrassed to know you. I think you're spineless. If someone who knows. Third, if you don't. As for my kids...

A Path Through Tall Grass: April 2015
http://jankwanomedic.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
A Path Through Tall Grass. It began as two months working with an AIDS program in Africa. Now I'm connected for life! My mom said something last week that made me really think. She said that sometimes she wished she'd chosen to study something more practical for her poor eyesight. Have to do that. Will my vision last that long? There would soon come a day when I couldn't perform my duties. That is the hard, bare truth. So what shall I do with my next few years? This is my reality. Wit : A Play. A Tale of...

A Path Through Tall Grass: March 2014
http://jankwanomedic.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
A Path Through Tall Grass. It began as two months working with an AIDS program in Africa. Now I'm connected for life! Tired of being fat. Yup, you know it. There is no way around it. If you want to be politically correct, you can call me "mildly obese," but hey, if the the shoe fits. But I can't get out of this pit I'm in. I don't have the energy to get out. I can't do this by myself. I know people will say, "Give it to God" or "You can't, but God can," and to be honest, I'm tired of all that talk. I am ...

A Path Through Tall Grass: Who Cares?
http://jankwanomedic.blogspot.com/2015/03/who-cares.html
A Path Through Tall Grass. It began as two months working with an AIDS program in Africa. Now I'm connected for life! Our pastor's in the middle of a sermon series on reaching the unreached. This is a very common theme in his sermons, as I know he has a heart for those who don't yet know Jesus' love. The sermons have all been good, moving, convicting, and I wholeheartedly agree I need to do more to be neighborly. We discussed William Booth's vision as portrayed below (more info here. Where is the balance?

Tales from West Africa. Stories and anecdotes of a foreigner among the people she loves. You are currently browsing the monthly archive for August 2007. August 31, 2007 in Uncategorized. I got hired this week to substitute teach for two-and-a-half weeks. I’m thankful it’s only a part-time subbing job–two classes a day–but it still seems to add a lot of work. I’m teaching 10th grade English class, periods 4 and 7, and I’m. Essays on the SAT when I took it, this is a bit challenging. 8220;Who is Joshua?
