Home and Away: Bonfire night
http://manorvendee.blogspot.com/2014/11/bonfire-night.html
Thursday, 13 November 2014. Jamie and Sure invited us both to their bonfire. Ebbie had invited her friends to the party. Jamie was in charge of the pyrotechnics. And put on an impressive display! Others adopted a more relaxed mode! The highlight of the night for Luke appeared to be trying out fish fingers and custard a la Dr. Who! Please feel free to leave a comment. Home and Away: December 2013
http://manorvendee.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 17 December 2013. December 15th is special every year as both Lara and Colette celebrate their birthdays . This year they celebrated with a weekend away with friends in Derbyshire and called to see us afterwards. Here they are-both a year older! Of course Paolo came too. Mum can't be left out! Just one more important person left. And here he is! It's always fun unwrapping presents. But you've got to get your prorities right! Birthday cakes and champagne are all very well. But you can't beat pasta.

Home and Away: August 2014

Sunday, 31 August 2014. My Father's Day gift from Colette was a brewery visit to the village of Cropton in the North Yorkshire Moors. We decided to make it a night out at the seaside as it is so close to Scarborough. After a lovely lunch (and a couple of pints of real ale) it was time for an informative tour of the brewery. We met some friendly folk and had a real good time of it. Back to the bar for a presentation pack of beer then on to Scarborough(Carol driving! For the evening session at 'Spoons!

Home and Away: September 2013
http://manorvendee.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, 26 September 2013. The weather here has been unseasonably hot since the equinox. We've had lots of unexpected visitors making the most of the sunshine. We've never seen so many butterfliies-they are everywhere! Better late than never for the sunflowers! The fruit trees are ripening nicely. Yet another feline family have been to visit. Nigel is back-not really a visitor though-he thinks he lives here. He even tried to chase Daniel away when he came round yesterday! Sunday, 22 September 2013.

Tuesday, 28 October 2014. We had an enjoyable overnight in Cagnes sur Mer. Watched the planes land nearby in Nice and it was warm enough for a paddle! Must return there (especially if driving to Italy again! Please feel free to leave a comment. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Picture Window template. Home and Away: June 2014
http://manorvendee.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 10 June 2014. May catch up 8. On the Sunday we were taken out for a lakeside picnic by Paolo and Lara. Carol showed her photographic skills to take this.(Nice view -shame about the subject! Our first port of call was unsuitable-but at least Vittorio got an outing to see some frogs. The second spot was ideal and we soon settled down for our picnic. Nearby to the lake was an American Indian(Blackfoot) encampment so I took Vittorio to explore. Vittorio found the tent pegs to be the most interesting!

Home and Away: January 2014
http://manorvendee.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, 19 January 2014. Christmas seems a long time ago now but here goes-. It was lovely to have Vittorio with us(and the girls of course! To see him open his presents. The first one he opened was Roary the racing car which stayed with him the rest of the day! Of course he wasn't the only one with presents to open. Unsurprisingly one of his favourites was the bubble-wrap! It's handy to have a qualified engineer for a dad when your toys need assembling! It looks like being a musical if noisy 2014! Serio...

Home and Away: Black Holes and Revelations
http://manorvendee.blogspot.com/2014/10/black-holes-and-revelations.html
Tuesday, 28 October 2014. Black Holes and Revelations. Our neighbour Marc came round to finish what he started before! It took him about an hour to lop off all the branches and it took us about 5 days to clear them away! It's one way of keeping fit I suppose! On the Sunday after our return to Mache , Bernard and Christine were kind enough to take us to see the 'Devil's Mouth' which I'd expressed an interest in. Apparently it was just the right weather for our visit (wet and windy).

Home and Away: February 2014
http://manorvendee.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, 23 February 2014. An eventful weekend in Newcastle! When we arrived,Paolo was in the process of selling his drumkit before the move to Italy. Naturally it was a chance for Vittorio to give him one more drumming lesson. His drum solos are quite impressive! He loves to play Hide and Seek now and his favourite hideout seems to be the wardrobe! Fish Friday went down well at Wetherspoons! Things didn't go too well over the weekend. We finally got through it after a traumatic time. View my complete pro...
