8230;how many kids are these people going to have…. April 9, 2015. Life has been pretty busy recently–but with all the reasons to why we moved here in the first place–to experience the world! Back in January, Steve had to take a trip to Seattle for work, which left me post surgery and tending the kids…oh and we got a whopper of a virus too. Needless to say, a planned trip to Dublin to meet up with two friends was in order! I backpacked this trip, and found it makes security and boarding the plane so easy!

In honor of Halloween approaching, I thought I’d share a few pictures of the cemetery in our village. I saw one in another village and it peaked my interest if they were all like the one I saw. I was right! German cemeteries seem to place a high value on a plot. Look at how beautiful some of these are kept! There’s even a water supply to use for free to keep the flowers alive. Happy 4th Birthday Mikey!

Look at how beautiful some of these are kept! Ours is just on the outskirts of town, but has a gorgeous view all around, and is surrounded by a very old stone wall and iron gate.

At the beginning of April, Steve informed me that there was a conference he wanted to attend at Scott AFB near St. Louis, MO. He got my okay and the boss’s okay to attend, and so that left me with a 5 day period of parenting on my own here in Germany. I found $19 (each way) airfare for me and the kids! Yeah, you CANNOT find that kind of price in the U.S! View from my room!

Who needs a baby book when you can have a blog? Monday, December 30, 2013. I got a new set of bamboo knitting needles for Christmas. I also got a little cashola. What do those two things together mean? I am about 2/3 of the way done with a baby blanket for my friend and her shower is next weekend. I will be glad when it is over. The yarn is beautiful. The pattern is interesting. I am just tired of making blankets! I think as long as I make sure I remember to work on it everyday, I will be done in time.
