IS THIS THE SAME KID? Since May, Willie and his grandmother have been a part of our Emergency Care Sponsorship Program. Now it is October. And it is VERY OBVIOUS that what we are doing is working. Through Willie's sponsor, he's not only healthy, but FAT! Tumaini Emergency Care Programs Manager, Habah, with Willie and his grandmother). His grandmother now has two chickens and we are in the process of constructing a nesting house. For them and more. We've also decided to start a small business.

By chance when I was hunting for Celestine by the request of a good friend. I noticed him and his grandmother in the group of people that had gathered around me and immediately saw that both of them were extremely thin and frail. At 2 yrs old, Willie probably weighed that of a 6 month old child and if he was to continue this way, he would surely not be with us for much longer. Follow Willie's progress with us! Willie's mom has re-appeared after being absent while he sufferred through severe malnutrition. She's now involved in his life again but we are monitoring her closely and still relying on his grandmother to handle feeding issues. We'll keep you updated. Willie has taken his first steps. Monday, January 21, 2013. We had fun celebrating Cole's first birthday with family and friends. We had his birthday party November 3rd, a few days before he was officially one. I chose to do an owl theme because I wanted to use fall colors but, didn't want to use all pumpkin things. The things I found/made were perfect! I enjoyed organizing and displaying the weekly pictures I have taken over the last year of our cute little guy! It was fun looking at how much he has grown and how his looks have changed.
