Guilty Until Proven Innocent. A mother's journey through the Illinois child welfare system. Wednesday, September 5, 2012. On August 31, Baby Ellie turned 2! Does this mean I have to quit referring to her as "baby" Ellie? Ellie is doing simply wonderful. We celebrated her birthday the Saturday before her actual birthday with a Minnie Mouse party at the park. She LOVES Minnie (and Mickey! We have definitely gotten our lives back. It's just a shame that it took so long for us to be fully reunited.

Saturday, July 2, 2011. School ended in mid June here in Oregon. My parents went out of town, thus leaving me to dog, house, and grandma-sit for nine days. During this time I wasn’t able to get back into my school because I was TOO busy! Now, I have been visiting my new 3. Grade classroom an hour or so a day, unpacking boxes.
