Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Last weekend, Michael and I took the kids to Cool Patch Pumpkins in Dixon- only about a 15 minute drive from us. It was a great day, filled with pumpkin picking, pumpkin pie eating, corn baths, hay mazes and lots of smiles! Oh look, Colby found a pumpkin. Or maybe he's got his eye on something else. Pay close attention to his mouth in this picture. He was so proud of himself. Love the teamwork in this one. This was the ugliest duck I had ever seen! Me being a geek.

Tuesday, June 09, 2009. Last Tuesday we took a little trip to Scranton, New Jersey to watch our friend, JD, play baseball. He plays for the Chief's minor league team in Syracuse. Kailer was so excited to see him pitch and earn a win, too! Before the game, we spent a couple hours at a little Family Fun Center up the road from the stadium. The kids had a blast on the go-carts, bumper boats, miniature golfing. Kailer even got to hit in the batting cages for the first time, and he did an awesome job!

Thursday, November 19, 2009. New York, New York. Oh how I long for thee. Lady Liberty. I miss seeing her every day. My mother-in-law's favorite store. One of our favorite places to grab a quick bite- it was the first place Michael and I ever ate in New York. Some of our best friends, the Marston Family: Dane, Blake, Stephanie, Evy. Our family away from home. We've created so many wonderful memories with them, shared laughs, shed tears. We can't wait for them to move to the West Coast! My good friend, Joy.

We had the grandparents over on her actual birthday and it was a very low key pizza party to celebrate our sweet Finn Marie. Bryan researched it and we're pretty sure our visitor is a caterpillar of a black swallowtail butterfly. Gabe and I had the kids class this morning at church, it was sad that we weren't able to worship with our church body but nothing beats a group of 2-3 year old's yelling "HE IS RISEN! Face painting action. I love how serious and still she gets. Keep that egg on the spoon game.hmm, I think she thought we said knock the egg off of the spoon. Daddy helping Finn get some eggs!
