Sunday, October 30, 2005. 1629年西班牙人侵略淡水，為鞏固其在北台灣的殖民事業，遂在此建 聖多明哥城 為基地 1642年，荷蘭人驅逐了西人，在舊址重建該城，當時稱荷蘭人為 紅毛 ，因此 紅毛城 之名也沿用至今。 開放時間 週二至週日，自 9 30 22 00 ( 18:00 以後僅開放戶外庭園及VR花園咖啡)休館時間 週一、除夕、大年初一及其他公告休館時間。 Posted by noni @ 8:07 PM. 馬偕 George LeslieMackay 生於1844年，加拿大安大略省一個蘇格蘭移民家庭，1871年接獲加拿大海外宣教會的派令，來到高雄，當時南部的英國長老會已有不錯的發展，他便在此觀摩並學習簡單的台灣話，來到淡水後，馬偕孤獨的展開佈道工作，憑著堅定的信仰，慈悲的胸懷及不屈不撓的毅力，逐漸獲得當地居民的認同，於1973年成立台灣北部第一所教會 淡水禮拜堂 ，馬偕在淡水，不僅著重宣教，對教育及醫療的推廣普及更是不遺餘力，全台第一間醫院馬偕醫館、第一家女子學校淡水女學校，都是他所創建，1878年馬偕與本地人張聰明女士成婚，台灣儼然已是他心目中認同摯愛的另一個故鄉。
