Trippy Traveller in Japan: April 2011

Trippy Traveller in Japan. Thursday, 28 April 2011. Japan's Aging Society - Is It Really a Problem? Are running perilously low – in 25 years demand for water will outstrip the supply. Deduct from the revenues the pension money and then spend the rest on the most urgent stuff. I am no doubt not the first to notice that governments pull out their wallets for banks and big businesses that are in trouble faster than a hooker drops her panties; but when it comes to paying for their old citizenry they bitch ab...

Trippy Traveller in Japan. Wednesday, 12 January 2011. The Day I Lost My Job, I Hope. Since early December last year I’ve stopped going to my juku job. Remarkably enough I haven’t officially lost the job. That is until today. I had told snot eyes several times that I had quit but by the end of the conversation she would invariably say something like:. 8220;So you will come in on Monday to teach? 8220;No.”. 8220;How about Friday? She of the gummy eyes. 8220;So you will come on Monday to teach then? It all...

Trippy Traveller in Japan. Thursday, 8 May 2014. Here Comes the Rain. I walk my three-year-old daughter to school every week day. Since I’ve done the school run it has (very surprisingly) only rained twice during the 400 meter journey. It struck me this morning as I was plodding back through puddles getting quite wet that 90% of the school kids and adults that I passed were exactly the same as me – getting wet, and resigned to the fact. What does this all mean? Being a Brit myself, I thought perhaps I ha...

Trippy Traveller in Japan. Tuesday, 13 March 2012. Suing a Doctor in Japan. There are two groups of people that it is virtually impossible to successfully sue. They are policemen and doctors. They close ranks; and worst of all, the judiciary seems to go out of its way to protect and shield these people. Public servants are, and should not be, exempt from prosecution for malpractice, abuse etc. Http:/ www.japantimes.co.jp/text/fl20120313zg.html. Trippy Traveller in South America. Trippy Traveller does South America. Tuesday, 26 January 2010. A Day out cycling in the Quebrada de Cafayate. At the entrance to the natural rock phenomenon there were various hippy looking young people selling trinkets and snacks. We had 50 kms back to town so we didn’t linger too long at the amphitheatre. The road was all up and down and twisting. The wind blew viciously into our faces making the going slow. That evening he scored a lump of grass and got us stoned so ...

Trippy Traveller in South America. Trippy Traveller does South America. Monday, 3 August 2009. Copacabana and Isla Del Sol in Bolivia. Is nestled on the coast of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. It`s a funky little town with some cool things to do. There`s trekking and finding Inca ruins and hanging out in the sunshine and eating trout. The people are friendly and it`s a picturesque place set in a magnificent background. Check out the photo from Copacabana cathedral.
