Copper Pennies (Marinated Carrots) - Mildred Lyon. 2 lbs carrots, peeled, sliced and cooked to medium. 1 green pepper, sliced thin. 1 onion chopped or sliced thin. 1 can condensed tomato soup. Salt and pepper to taste. Three week slaw - Mildred Lyon. 3 lbs cabbage, chopped. 2 onions, chopped. 1 green pepper, chopped. 1 cup vegetable oil. 2 tsp celery seed. Cabbage Slaw - Carol Lyon. 1 cup Miracle Whip or mayonnaise. 2 TB lemon juice or vinegar. 2 tsp sugar (or more to taste).

Appetizers, Dips and Spreads. Banana Split Cake - Sue (Ursula) Barr. 2 cups Vanilla wafers crumbs. 1 stick oleo, melted. 2 cups powdered sugar. 20 oz can crushed pineapple, drained. Mix vanilla wafers and oleo together and press into a 9X13 pan Refrigerate. Beat the filling ingredients at fast speed for 15 minutes. Pour over crust. Slice bananas over the filling, spread pineapple over that and top with Cool Whip over pineapple. Refrigerate overnight. Dessert Cake - Sue (Ursula) Barr. 1 pkg yellow cake mix.

Appetizers, Dips and Spreads. Escalloped Cabbage - Joan Ketchum. This was her mother's recipe. 1 Fresh Head of Cabbage. Shred cabbage on medium shredder. Drop into boiling water and cook for 5 minutes. Drain and season liberally with salt and pepper. Fill buttered casserole dish with cabbage. Pour milk over cabbage; top with coarsely broken crackers and dot with butter. Bake until brown. Escalloped Corn - Joan Ketchum. 1 Tsp Salt (or less). 3/4 tsp powdered mustard. 1 1/2 cup milk. 1 cup canned corn.
