I have been back in Kinshasa for about 4 weeks now, and Kinshasa is pretty much the same: warm because of family and friends, but still stuck in a time loop that makes it seem like not much has changed in the last 20 years (at least nothing for the better. More about that in another post). I won’t even talk about the food poisoning I am still reeling from myself.

Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Sittin on the dock of the bay. Our life in the country just keeps getting sweeter. My grandfather's tank is right behind our house and provides a great scenic view from our back porch. A few days ago my uncle and cousin built a dock on the tank and tied up a cute little fishing boat. We love strolling down to the tank and throwing rocks off the dock.
