The morning started slow, but we slowed down with soft plastics and Bill started putting the fish in the boat. Backwater Adventures is a full time guide service catering to enthusiastic fishermen who visit the Outer Banks of N.C. Captain David Ward has over 35 years experience fishing the waters of eastern N.C. and is licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. With over 30 local tournament wins, David will be glad to share his fishing techniques so you can enjoy a day of relaxed fishing. We practice catch and release (after a photo of course) on all our adventures.

Spend the day hunting and trying to pattern largemouth bass in the brackish water near the Outer Banks. You will ride in a tournament ready bass boat, equipped with the best electronics and duel Power Poles. We will fish different techniques to see what the bass prefer during the day. Do you want to catch a bunch of fish and up to 10 different species? Do you love fishing with a fly rod and seeing each fish strike the lure. Do you want to learn the art of fly fishing for freshwater fish?
