I have been searching far and wide for a smoker that met my precise and picky needs. My previous look at the WSM impressed me but I felt the 18 inch grates would be too small for doing a substantial amount of ribs without weaving them onto a rib rack. I should trademark that term). All they need is a path wide enough to make it to the garage and roll out the grill. I myself am not adventerous enough to stand out in subzero weather or 6 inches of snow to get that great grill flavor. Which makes the first grilling of the spring that much sweeter! After this weekend’s fundraiser and barbecue competition, where vinegar seemed to win out in a couple of categories, it has been suggested that winning recipes should be posted. Now some people say you should never tell your secrets, but as I am neither a magician or involved in any kind of espionage, I doubt that applies to me. Flamb Ed’s award-winning rib rub. 1 tbsp chilli powder (peace climb). 1 tsp onion powder.

A place to post your drippings. Monday, July 31, 2006. Real Moist Heat Ribs. Sounds like my Moist Heat Brothers had a rib-o-licious week.I am no exception. You can't pass up baby backs when they are on sale. Fifteen minutes before taking them out, I started a second small chimney of coals to finish them on the grill. The results were a hit. The meat came away from the bone gently and easily (no bone gnawing needed). The family encouraged me to repeat this method in the future. Sunday, July 30, 2006.
