http://seattlecancan.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Cherries - Preserving the Harvest. Washington Cherry Season starts in June. Sour Cherries are the ones that grow the best in the Seattle area and many people have planted them as ornamentals. Be nice and ASK FIRST before picking fruit off someone's tree! Sour cherries should be visible and ripe by mid-to-late June. Only pick the very red ones and come back a few days later and pick again. Green cherries are not much good- they are super sour and bitter. All cherries are HEALTHY! Has less than 100 calories.
