Né dans 1979 dans Conakry, Mendez a grandi en haut dans une famille entourée par la musique et la danse. Il a commencé son entraînement comme un percussionniste à l'âge quinze avec Sekou Sylla Déco. Il a joint Saamato de Ballet dans 1995 et est maintenant le deuxième djembe. Il joue aussi avec la Percussion de Fote de Baga.

Mario was born in 1979, and has always been an artist. He writes traditional music in Malinke and raps in French, Susu and Malinke. He currently plays sangban for Ballet Saamato. Mario is an exceptional artist, friend and human being. Kindness and understanding seem to radiate from him. Right now, Mario is faced with the difficult reality that he may soon lose his sight to Ptergium, a tropical eye disease. In the face of it all he is positive and a light to all those around him.

Anssoumane, le jeune frère de Karamoko, était né dans 1978 dans Kindia, Guinee. Comme son frère que son père l'a enseigné les rythmes de Malinke traditionnels commençant à un très jeune âge. Karamoko l'a recruté pour Saamato de Ballet en 1999. Anssoumane comme beaucoup de Guinéens dit cela, « j'aimerais continuer à habiter simplement pour le reste de ma vie. Both he and Boubah joined Saamato at age 15 at the prodding of Boubah's mother, Mariam Gigla Sylla. Abdouley a participé Ballet Saamato 2005, pourtant dans cette quantité courte de temps a fait une contribution de sidnificant au groupe. Né dans 1988, Abdouley est un des plus jeunes danseurs mâles mais cela ne l'a pas arrêté de concourir dans la compétition Nationale avec le ballet en mars 2006, aidant le groupe prend le troisième endroit. Abdouley dit que son influence artistique principale est le Saamato directeur Zito Bangoura.

I am called Alya Gigla Sylla founding director of the ballet association Saamato of Guinea. My history. I was born in 1960 in the state of Dubreka in a small village called Kobiyan. I begin my training in traditional Guinean ballet dances in 1970 in a dramatic art company in the village of my birth in dubreka.
