Because Literacy Builds Strong Families and Healthy Communities. Literacy Gives Us Wings! Pre-schools throughout Banks County will periodically ask the Banks County Literacy Council volunteers to come in and read a book to their children. When we arrive, we make sure to bring a copy of the book we are reading for each of the children attending the event! Each child is given a "goodie bag" containing their book, stickers, coupons, toys and other appropriate fun items provided by our donors. BOOKS IN A BAG!
