Mount Korab, Macedonia and Albania, 08 June, 1145 hours. Four hours later, I am in Macedonia some 30 Kms from Mount Korab, alone in an hotel by a stunning lake in the quite magnificent Mavrovi National Park, eating grilled fresh trout from the lake. Bed and supper struggled to reach 16 - it’s a different world! I had been so directed by the extremely helpful man in the tourist office in Mavrovi Hanovi, he is well worth a visit. It added an unnecessary 2 hours to the day and taught me a sobering lesson.
