From The Heart Of Uganda: Hope For The Elderly
http://karlarleen.blogspot.com/2014/08/hope-for-elderly.html
From The Heart Of Uganda. Friday, August 15, 2014. Hope For The Elderly. I was recently contacted by a visionary and compassionate Ugandan, Kenneth Mugayehwenkyi, who co-founded an organization, ROTOM (Reach One Touch One Ministries) about 10 years ago to help the plight of the elderly both in his home community in Kabale District and in Mukono District. Kenneth had heard about Farming God’s Way and was wondering if this might be a tool for the elderly to use in assisting them with their food and i...

From The Heart Of Uganda. Saturday, March 1, 2014. Go Light Your Candle. On Friday morning we celebrated part four of the 14th graduation ceremony with a commissioning service for 459 students from Uganda Christian University. It was a very uplifting service with much singing and jubilation, the theme being, “Determine to live in peace with each other”. (Hebrews 12:14). The closing hymn, “Go Light Your Candle” summed up the commissioning well:. There is a candle in every soul. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

From The Heart Of Uganda. Thursday, August 15, 2013. Farming God’s Way and Spontaneous Praise. This last week I was able to travel to the town of Rukingiri in western Uganda with a good friend of mine, Wesley Forde, for three days of Farming God’s Way training. The training took place at the Aunt Elvi Mikkola Primary school. The school was started about ten years ago by Wesley, focusing on meeting the needs of needy families in that community. Most Ugandans know how to dig, but here participants are bein...

From The Heart Of Uganda: Anniversary Safari
http://karlarleen.blogspot.com/2014/07/anniversary-safari.html
From The Heart Of Uganda. Sunday, July 27, 2014. This month we celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary on safari at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park. It was a wonderful getaway after a few very busy months of work and we were not disappointed by the amazing variety of animals and scenery on our trip. The rhino trek gave us the best viewing of a baby rhino than we had seen before and we were able to watch it suckling. We enjoyed the view from the top of Murchison Falls. Subscrib...

See: http:/ www.paoutreach.net/kibaale-walk. Kabali and Kasiita (two of the original students in Kibaale). Kasiita is now a university student.

From The Heart Of Uganda. Friday, February 14, 2014. Since returning to Uganda at the beginning of this year from our Christmas break, I have been preparing for upcoming Farming God’s Way workshops. The best time for agricultural training in Uganda is in the dry season, before the planting season. In this way farmers can implement what they’ve learned as they prepare their fields and plant their crops. Posted by Karl Arleen Buchholz. Thursday, February 6, 2014.
