Shelly Johnson: Bald Eagle Day & Sledding - A Fountain Green Fantasy
http://shellycampergirl.blogspot.com/2010/02/bald-eagle-day-sledding-fountain-green.html
Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Bald Eagle Day and Sledding - A Fountain Green Fantasy. The picture below is at the Fish Hatchery seeing a stuffed Bald Eagle and receiving our "Bald Eagle Day Pins". No matter how many times we've seen the fish at the hatchery, it never gets old. The kids love watching the fish get fed and splashing in the water. Overall, we saw about 40 Bald Eagles that day. February is the best time to see Bald Eagles in Sanpete County. Kristen just got a new camera for Christmas. She w...

Mark, April, and Family: Happy New Year
http://johnson-jumble.blogspot.com/2009/01/happy-new-year.html
Mark, April, and Family. Bald Eagle Day and Sledding - A Fountain Green Fantasy. Thursday, January 8, 2009. Hope everyone had a Happy New Year. We celebrated "New York Style". That means that a 10 o'clock mountain time we said "It's midnight in New York so kiss me and lets go to sleep". Exciting, I know, but with an almost 4 month old baby we are still trying to get sleep when ever we can. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Family Adventures: August 2012
http://spencerandnancy.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 12, 2012. While in the city of Hämeenlinna,. We went to the birth house of Jean Sibelius. It really is a simple museum- he was not born into wealth. His father was a doctor, but died when Jean was very young. The family was then forced to leave that home and move in with his maternal grandmother. Jean was originally discouraged by his family to pursue a musical career (i.e. find a career that pays! Door to King's room as seen from inside the courtyard. Two cute page boys. Gavin Hears a Who.

http://spencerandnancy.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 14, 2011. I have been teaching preschool for Alex's friends this year. It has been SUPER fun for all of us. We have the best kids in the group- and just the right number of them. Today, we had a bit of a crazy day, but at the end we had adorable hats and shirts to show off! Last year we happened to stop by Kmart right after Halloween. It was a brilliant move. The kids got to pick out some fun costumes at a super discount price. I wish I had remembered to go again this year!

Family Adventures: A real moat!!!!
http://spencerandnancy.blogspot.com/2012/08/a-real-moat.html
Sunday, August 12, 2012. I don't know why, but I have always been fascinated with moats. When I found out that Finland had several castles I was determined that we visit one. I was ecstatic to see the moat- though it didn't seem all that forbidding with the seemingly shallow water and ducks floating by. The Häme. Door to King's room as seen from inside the courtyard. Two cute page boys. Super steep stairs- can you imagine running up and down these without a light helping you to see? Gavin Hears a Who.

Family Adventures: July 2012
http://spencerandnancy.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 22, 2012. Boats, Trains, and More. Our modes of transportation in Finland were widely different from our SUV at home. It was boy heaven- we rode trains, ferry boats, sailboats, buses, and planes. It was all fun for us- but I did have a big smile on my face when I hopped in my own car the first day back to go to Wal-Mart. Traffic Park in Finland- - super duper fun- and one of the only free activities we found. We went back several times! Sailing with Spencer's colleague Hekke. In Tampere, we ...

Thursday, May 26, 2011. I called my sister to spread my joy and she quipped, "Aren't you glad you didn't save your visiting teaching until the end of the month! It was on a small counter that was cluttered with lots of tools for our reconstruction project. Hooray for Anna! Hooray for everyday miracles! Last Wednesday we took Alex to the audiologist for a mapping appointment. He was very helpful this time in completing the listening tasks. Six more months of maturity went a long way! Family Adventures: Churches
http://spencerandnancy.blogspot.com/2012/07/churches.html
Friday, July 20, 2012. In Tampere, we lived almost next door to the most famous Lutheran cathedral in Finland. It was a safe haven during their civil war and it is home to artwork from one of the most renowned Finnish artists. We enjoyed visiting it several times- and we often walked through the property on our way to shopping areas. I made a point of visiting just about every church possible- mostly Lutheran. We enjoyed a couple of organ concerts- WOW! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
