We have spent the past few days on busses and airplanes traveling to Vancouver, then Seattle, and at last to Michigan where we will proceed to rest our feet for an entire week before returning to Utah. Baxter and Wildcat hike the PCT. Departed on April 18th 2013. . . Oh, hi, life! December 7, 2013. It doesn’t seem odd to me. Or strange. The way I feel about death. Once she was gone, she was gone. It did feel odd and strange to have this lifeless furry animal on me. That was no longer my sweet, blue-eyed cat. It was just a bag of bones. And that was that. This is a video Ben took last week. Baxter and Wildcat hike the PCT. Departed on April 18th 2013. . . C’est La Vie. June 7, 2014. A week after completing the PCT I was stretching my arms above my head and promptly gave myself an incarcerated umbilical hernia. It needed a quick little surgery. My post-PCT plan of a month of yoga to heal my body from hiking didn’t quite happen. The surgery went well. Followed by 6 months of fighting with the insurance company to pay for it. C’est la vie. And then this happened the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

Our house is still in disarray and full of boxes from the move, but we are taking a break to watch some football. This little furball snuck up to enjoy some of it with us. Getting Back Out There]. It's an adjustment having a kid. Learning what to take with you when you leave the house. It makes going places a little more involved. We have gotten out and gone hiking a couple times these past couple weeks and it feels so good to get out there again. Has it really been 3 months already? Time is flying by and you are developing and learning new things everyday. it is so amazing to watch you as you change with each passing day. you are such a joy to our lives and we couldn't imagine life before you! You are a smiling machine. You let out a little coo when you smile and we call it a laugh. it melts our hearts every time! Trying to roll over, but you keep getting stuck on your arm. You hate tummy time, but love being on your back on your activity mat.
