The Gatekeeper Program is a senior watch program established in conjunction with the Bay County Sheriffs Office. Gatekeepers are people in the community who come into contact with the elderly on a frequent basis and are trained to recognize signs of needing help. When they see a need, they contact the Council on Aging, making a referral for an assessment and needed services. Roll Call is a daily phone call to elderly persons asking Are you okay?
