Rarely does a physical therapist or an athletic trainer or an othopedic physician or a coach refer anyone to me even when the athlete is injured and other treatments are not working. After years of trying to educate coaches an...

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Nothing happened. No emails, no phone calls, no referrals. I saw the young man the next day. Upon initial examination, I determined he had one leg shorter than the other due to a tight psoas muscle. I released the tension on the muscle, eliminated several trigger points in the lumbar region of his back and glutes. The dad spoke with the Athletic Diector, then the Principal and finally told the School superintendent. The young man was cleared to play. I am s licensed and nat...

Thursday, October 1, 2009. I've been performing sportsmassage with athletes for more than 30 years. One of the best ways to establish a business, they say, is to find a niche. Well, I found mine, quite by accident! The young man came to see me. I could tell by the look on his face that he had already determined that I wasn't going to be able to help him. Massage?
