Whittemore Wanderings: February 2011
http://whittemorefamily.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 21, 2011. A few weeks ago Zac had surgery to remove the extra finger and toe on his left hand and foot. He had a previous SURGERY. For the same thing on his right side when he was 18 months old so we kind knew what to expect this time around. Below are some pictures of the bone structure on his left hand and foot. Here are some more pictures pre-surgery. Our camera is MIA so they are taken by my cheap but trusty Nokia. Watching "PB" (Translation: TV). Thank goodness for Bear! Funny becau...

Whittemore Wanderings: Some Mothers Get Babies with Something More...
http://whittemorefamily.blogspot.com/2011/09/some-mothers-get-babies-with-something.html
Monday, September 19, 2011. Some Mothers Get Babies with Something More. A few months after filling out all these applications, it was brought to my attention that some think us moms who have children with special needs are. Kind of amazing. A friend of a friend (or something like that) posted this on her blog. And now I post it for you:. SOME MOTHERS GET BABIES WITH SOMETHING MORE…. That doesn’t run in our family. Can this really be happening in our lifetime? I’ve got what it takes.”. I loved reading th...

Whittemore Wanderings: Where am I?
http://whittemorefamily.blogspot.com/2011/01/where-am-i.html
Friday, January 7, 2011. Confession: Sometimes I think about the universe. This is coming from someone who thinks that Physics is magic. But on occasion, I wonder: What's really out there? Are we humans really alone in the universe? A long time ago, my Dad (a former aerospace engineer) sent me an email with the following pictures. He thinks about this type of thing a lot more frequently than I do. I believe the pictures came from an article found HERE. Found in the Bible}. And yet sometimes, I get this s...

Whittemore Wanderings: Big Boys
http://whittemorefamily.blogspot.com/2010/10/big-boys.html
Saturday, October 23, 2010. Zac keeps saying more and more words (or attempting to) so we are extremely pleased with that. He loves going to school and insists on being such a big boy lately! I am really happy that he musters up the courage and confidence to do things on his own. I think this will be an invaluable gift in his life as he will encounter challenges he'll need to overcome. (Oh and it's okay to laugh at this next picture, we know he looks kind of "special" in it.). He loves drawing pictures a...

Whittemore Wanderings: Two
http://whittemorefamily.blogspot.com/2011/03/two.html
Tuesday, March 29, 2011. But then I thought back to my friend's comment about skydiving before she had kids. I knew Eddie didn't mind, I already talked to him about it. His response was, "You have insurance." Ha! Love him. Later I found out that he was referring to health insurance in the event of an accident whereas I thought he was referring to my life insurance policy in the event of my death. Can you tell who is more optimistic? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sex and Santa Claus. Jadon: Mom, if ...

Whittemore Wanderings: December 2010
http://whittemorefamily.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. One of these things is not like the other. Hint: It's not Eddie's stocking. I have no clue. He doesn't live here. I have no boy named Craig. We had a really good laugh about it last year. Jadon thought it was really funny that he had a stocking with Craig's name on it {whoever Craig is} and he even set it out for Santa to fill. But not without some reassurance that Santa would in fact know that the stocking was really meant for him and not some kid named Craig. Disclaimer: This...

Whittemore Wanderings: L-O-V-E
http://whittemorefamily.blogspot.com/2010/08/l-o-v-e.html
Monday, August 2, 2010. I love this guy. This is Ed. He's my husband. I think he's handsome, don't you? Look at his smile. It's HUGE. I love it. We just celebrated our 8th anniversary. We do things low-key around here. I said no gifts [because I don't need one from him to know that he loves me] but he got me one anyway. He's an ESFJ, that's why. He knows how to make special occasions even more significant. He gave me a copy of Himnos. Seriously, what other guy would have given me a second chance? But not...

Whittemore Wanderings: Sex and Santa Claus
http://whittemorefamily.blogspot.com/2010/11/sex-and-santa-claus.html
Thursday, November 18, 2010. Sex and Santa Claus. Jadon: Mom, if Santa Claus and St. Nicolas are the same person, but you can only become a saint after you die, how is Santa Claus even alive? Yes, that would be my kid using deductive reasoning to conclude that Santa does not exist. Well, he was open to my explanation and I wasn't about to stifle his logical thinking.}. Me: That's a good question. I don't really have an answer for it because you're absolutely correct. So do you believe in Santa Claus?
