California Cat Lady: November 2008
http://californiacatlady.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2008. Scamp has been with us since June of 1993. We were living in Venice at the time and a neighbor found him under her house. He was a scrawny, dirty, flea ridden little thing. He was undernourished, having foraged on the streets for quite a bit. One night while I was preparing chicken for dinner I turned my back on the counter while putting the chicken on the stove. Scamp jumped up and snagged the absorbent inner packing material and ate the whole thing! But only in the bathroom&#...

California Cat Lady
http://californiacatlady.blogspot.com/2012/05/it-sure-has-been-while-since-i-posted.html
Tuesday, May 15, 2012. It sure has been a while since I posted! Daily chores seem to take a lot more time these days. Gluten free eating is finally routine! Gluten is found in so many processed foods that I read every label when shopping. It truly is amazing what is in a lot of processed foods! A lot of ingredients are to preservatives and some maintain the texture and color we expect. Before freezers were readily available, Mom used to can a lot! California Cat Lady: Scary Dairy
http://californiacatlady.blogspot.com/2009/01/scary-dairy.html
Wednesday, January 7, 2009. Wow, just when I'm about to whine about how cold it is, Mother Nature gives me pause. Yesterday was a fabulous day here. The temp was in the low 60s and it was crystal clear. Http:/ www.valleyhaunts.net/showthread.php? The only haunts that I found were a covey of quail and a red-tailed hawk! Is that near the barn with all the bullet holes in it where Ryan found all his treasures a few years ago? January 7, 2009 at 7:50 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

California Cat Lady: January 2009
http://californiacatlady.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 21, 2009. What an extrordinary day yesterday was. I'm a registered democrat so it comes as no surprise that I was hoping that Mr Obama would win the election. He brings intelligence and the ability to articulate clearly back to Washington. A breath of fresh air. I wasn't going to watch many of the activities but turned on the t.v. and was totally hooked! I admit to a bit of apprehension. Was someone going to make it through the security barriers and kill him? The only other president t...

California Cat Lady: Knit a Purse
http://californiacatlady.blogspot.com/2009/01/knit-purse.html
Thursday, January 15, 2009. A friend of mine was about to have a birthday so I asked what she wanted. She replied "Could you knit me a backpack purse? I had a knitting book handy so she chose the pattern and I embarked on an adventure. If, as they say, you must challenge one's brain with new and different challenges, I've just finished mine for the month! What a gorgeous colour! How did you find knitting with the hemp yarn? The woman must be so pleased with your work :). January 15, 2009 at 9:23 PM.
