Wednesday, July 28, 2010. Yesterday, I had the carpets cleaned in my apartment. It was well overdue since it had not been done since I moved in, a complete 6 years ago. I have been so proud of the result! To paint or not to paint? That is the question. It definitely gives me a different perspective on the room! It's the next best thing to moving.mixing it up a bit. Tuesday, June 21, 2011. I finished another little project recently - friend of mine wanted a soap bottle decorated. i don't have much experience painting glass (much less glass objects that will have frequent contact with water) but after getting advice from a pro i was able to paint and bake this:. The friend i painted it for used to live in the netherlands, so i went with a delft blue theme. Anyway that's all - next project: getting read to go to china! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Saturday, August 14, 2010. I took part in Transform for the first time today. It was a success! The Village Church has partnered with several schools over the past several years to serve during the summer with school improvement projects and relationship building. This year the Flower Mound campus was at Hedrick Elementary. I felt confident and purposeful in this role. My knowledge of children's literature and my experiences in leveling libraries were quickly put to use. Her English library was complete!

Tuesday, March 1, 2011. This week, I really feel the desire to focus not on what God can do for me and how I can benefit from Him, but more so on who he is in all of his glory. I think this verse may sum up the gospel and praise Him in that way. On a side note, my life has been such a juxtaposition of joy and heartache in recent weeks. I am anxious to find the words and place to rest in writing these thoughts and emotions in this space. Hopefully, I will be back here for real blogging again, soon.

Monday, May 23, 2011. My apologies for another delayed entry, although i suppose that is to be expected with this blog. Anyway i went to chicago recently to attend my sister's graduation and help her move back home! To get there i had to go through a magical wardrobe. (on a side note, this is the very wardrobe that inspired c.s. lewis ooOOOOoooo). Found the wade center! Look how cute it is :P. Checking out the area by the lamppost à la lucy pevensie.
