Friday, January 03, 2014. Zebra print for Zoe, part deux. Zoe's mum is similar to me, in that she fully understands that a birthday is the perfect opportunity to go a little crazy and spoil your daughter with cake. Lucky Zoe had a fabulous cake for her family party, and was having matching cupcakes for her friends party. I came across some Wilton Sugar Sheets. Happy birthday again Zoe! Posted by Becca M. Saturday, September 27, 2014. Colourful 60th birthday cake. I was pleased to assist S with another order, this time for a special cake for her mother's birthday. She had no specific idea of what she wanted, but we agreed upon bright coloured sponge, classic vanilla flavour, and co-ordinating pastel decorations on the outside of a white vanilla buttercream cake. Posted by Becca M. Friday, September 26, 2014. Quick no-bake Oreo cheesecake. This is definitely best eaten on day of preparation. Enjoy! A regul...

Monday, March 31, 2014. Baked lemon cheesecake, Donna Hay style. The recipe for this Baked Lemon Cheesecake. Was in the same Sunday colour supplement as the previous Cinnamon Cheesecake post. And is also a Donna Hay. Recipe. It had a fresh whipped cream topping, but I didn't feel that it would add much to the taste, so decided against using it. The recipe was fairly straightforward to follow and I had the cake ready for the oven fairly soon. Mmm, fresh lemon rind, yummy! Posted by Becca M. This was the f...
Becca Bakes: Lest we forget - ANZAC Day
http://beccabakes2.blogspot.com/2012/04/lest-we-forget-anzac-day.html
Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Lest we forget - ANZAC Day. As a schoolgirl, I was privileged enough to attend the girls' school that participated (at Year 10 level) in a remembrance service at The Shrine (of Remembrance) in Melbourne on this day. It was a great school, giving a great education, for many other reasons too. Of course, I probably didn't appreciate it at the time but that's what happens when you're 15, isn't it? Oops, sit more discreetly Becca, honestly! Thanks very much to Wikipedia. And from t...

Tizzy Crafts: April 2013
http://tizzycrafts.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Friday, 26 April 2013. Make do and mend. I tried something differant - my son managed to put a hole in the knees of his Jeans - as they still had plenty of life in them I decided to go for the patching option rather than recyling - I had some gorgeous fabric from Fabric Rehab. Which made the perfect patch - in fact he loved it so much I may have to patch some of his un-holed jeans! Friday, 19 April 2013. Obviously for doing proper website photos I will only do them once the walls have been painted. If yo...

Tuesday, 18 September 2012. Every time I do I fair, I get up on the morning very excited and load the car with a mixture of excitement and aprehension, Once I find the venue, its then a hunt for my table and a quick look round to see who is close to me - Is it someone I know? Are they selling similar to me? Does there display look better? Then the doors open and we all wait with great expectation - will there be lots of customers? Are they looking to be polite? Tizzy Crafts: Dressmaking
http://tizzycrafts.blogspot.com/2013/05/dressmaking.html
Sunday, 5 May 2013. There is something about the weather getting a little warmer that makes me want to start dressmaking again - most of my hand-made clothes are summer ones. While I was sorting through my patterns, I thought I would share with you how I organise and store my patterns. First of all I have a record of my favourite patterns on springpad. How do you store patterns? Do you have any other great tips? 13 May 2013 at 10:48. Good luck to your new found hobby! Ed of FashionPatterns.com. If you se...
Tizzy Crafts: March 2014

Saturday, 8 March 2014. You may have noticed that I have been very quiet on here and social media at the moment - one very good reason, Building work! I am lucky enough to have a box room to use for sewing, however we are extending the house to make my daughters bedroom bigger and so I get a bigger sewing room too. This is my room at the moment. The builders should be breaking though in the next week, so everything is cleared out. I then had to get everything moved out quickly before it rained again!
Tizzy Crafts: August 2012
http://tizzycrafts.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 6 August 2012. Well I sat down to tidy up my website last night - just wanted to take off some sold out items and do some simple tidying up - ended up changing the colour and template! It is still a work in progress as I wanted to change the buttons to make the whole thing more streamlined, but to do that I need to use html - may as well be swahelli! Anyway it got me thinking, how many people use all the differant forms of media - I found buttons for sites I had never heard of! Contact me by email.

Monday, 21 May 2012. I finally made a bags for myself this weekend. With matching pink spotty lining,. Internal pocket trimmed with ric rac (sorry not the best picture). Bags or try and get cheaper quality items. How does everyone else do it? Tuesday, 15 May 2012. I tried a different tablecloth (no spots! I am still loving my hanging rail for the bags, although still need to fight the impulse to put EVERY bag I have in stock on it, although they will go on it gets a little cluttered. This is my new displ...
Tizzy Crafts: Spam
http://tizzycrafts.blogspot.com/2013/03/spam.html
Saturday, 16 March 2013. I've been getting increasing amounts of spam in the comments on the Blog - Blogger does seem to be catching some of it but some is creeping through. It is usually just very bland "your site is great etc - please click on my (dodgy) Link" but I got some pornograpic spam yesterday, which was published on the site - don't worry all been deleted now. What do you do about spam on your Blog? What works well for other people? 16 March 2013 at 16:13. 17 April 2013 at 20:28. Sew, ray, me.
Tizzy Crafts: New Bag style
http://tizzycrafts.blogspot.com/2013/05/new-bag-style.html
Friday, 24 May 2013. I have been playing about with new bag designs this last couple of weeks, so I thought I would share the process and see what you think of the new style. I wanted to make a smaller cross-body handbag size bag. I always start first with a piece of paper, it means I can fold it and get and idea of the bag shape and most importantly I can make another one the same size if I need to! Fastens with a mag snap. I also thought the internal oilcloth placket was a little too deep. I have been ...
Tizzy Crafts: Crochet
http://tizzycrafts.blogspot.com/2013/03/crochet.html
Thursday, 14 March 2013. I have always wanted to learn how to crochet - I have my Grandma's old crochet hooks, I have even made a lovely roll to hold them, even though I couldn't use them! I have always looked at the classes at French Knots Studio. We all got on really well with the Crochet and Jo was a very patient teacher. I have now got the hang of doing granny squares, and Baby Annabel has a new pram blanket! I bought the Nicki Trench Cute and Easy Crochet. 14 March 2013 at 19:52. Oh well done you!
Tizzy Crafts: November 2012
http://tizzycrafts.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 21 November 2012. Of gift wrapping ideas, there is some fantastic ideas there, some of which were impractical to do in the middle of a craft fair! However I was finding myself drawn to the idea of using Kraft paper. This was my first attempt which I liked, but realised the ribbon was from my stash and I wouldn't be able to get any more the same, also it is very wide, so wouldn't look right on smaller parcels (phone cases etc). What do you think? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Contact me by email.

Becca Bakes!
This blog is to share my joys, triumphs, and failures as I embark on a cooking and baking journey with my organic, locally produced fruits, veggies, eggs, and flowers. Join me. Sunday, June 21, 2009. So thus far I haven't encountered too many radishes in my CSA shares. In fact, I think I got the first ones during my winter share with Garden of Eve. I also got some in my first Sunnyside CSA. Doesn't that picture of a radish flower coming out of nachos look scrumptous! Friday, June 19, 2009. The first real...

Monday, April 25, 2016. Anzac Slice with chocolate chips. I have been taking part in the super fun Fat Mum Slim. 365 photo a day challenge. For nearly 1.5 years now, where you post a photo to your Instagram account. According to the theme set out for that day. You attach the relevant hashtag so other participants can find you and then you enjoy seeing everyone else's interpretation of the prompt. That sounded both tasty and easy. So I made it. They tasted amazing straight from the oven, warm and comforti...
