Our adventures continued…. Adventure #2:Getting the prize pumpkin to carve. We headed out to a local farmers market to go get “the” pumpkin. Everyone was involved, including the dog, which Bella loved! She laughed the whole ride to the market, one of those great belly laughs, it was great! Thanksgiving Goodies pt.2. So as usual I started something I didn’t finish, but will this week. I have been testing some recipes for Thanksgiving and I wanted to finish sharing the ones my family loves! So here’s the yummy recipes I’ve found so far:. Sweet Potato Casserole: This one is Trey’s. He would eat the whole thing by himself, seriously! 1/2 packed brown sugar, 1/3 cup all purpose flour, 3 tblsp butter melted, 1/2 cup chopped pecans. 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmellows. Bacon Wrapped Green Beans.

August 7, 2008. I just talked to my friend Janna about her baby Alli. And YES! It is good news! She talked with her doctor last night and they said that Alli’s lungs look better than they ever have. She had been told last Friday that it could be at least a month before her lungs would heal, which would make her stay in the hospital longer. There’s a change a comin’…. So we have change coming to us, that is a fact. Change can be uncomfortable, challenging, and unpredictable. Change is also refreshing, strengthening, and restoring. Some people embrace change and others reject it. I am one who usually rejects it because it is unpredictable and I like structure and to know how things are going to go step by step. So every year we dress up for Halloween and go trick or treating, BUT we also say that it’s in honor of Mimi’s birthday. This year my grandmother turned 85 and so we traveled down to Chattanooga, Tn. to be with her on her birthday. Originally Becky took oil classes, but became enamored with all mediums which she still enjoys. Watercolors, however, continue to be her passion.
