Homebrew, BBQ and more. February 3, 2016. Brewday – 1/24/2016. I love smoked beer! The recipe is actually my oatmeal stout recipe but everything got cut approximately in half. I used chocolate malt instead of roast Barley. The pilsner malt is just what I had left over from another batch. Could have just gone 6# of the stout malt instead. I like the high ibu like a dry stout would be. The mash was a 90 minute no sparge. 30 minute boil pretty simple. Used White Labs Whitbread again. Enter your comment here.

Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Tasting Notes for My First Bière de Garde. On 5/31/15 I brewed my first attempt at a Bière de Garde. I developed the recipe you can find here. SG: 1065 or 15.9°P.
