Kid’s art | The Far Distance
https://thefardistance.wordpress.com/2010/08/01/kids-art
8220;Imagination rules the world” – Napoleon Bonaparte. August 1, 2010. While we were in Knoxville, the boys were able to take an art class from a wonderful teacher. They learned a lot and they had fun. We were sad to leave her. The pictures don’t really do justice to the artwork, but I just wanted to share. My favorite of Aspen's artwork. My favorite of Joel's artwork. Joel's first piece of artwork. I am grateful they didn't find the permanent markers! Laquo; Happy Birthday Aspen! Enter your comment here.

8220;Imagination rules the world” – Napoleon Bonaparte. July 19, 2010. Charlotte’s New Friend. These next few posts may come out a little out of order, but I am trying to do some updates and this is the way it will have to go. :). For those of you who I talked to about our move from Tennessee to Michigan, I was really worried about Charlotte. I was afraid that her, being the youngest, would not understand leaving all that she knows and coming to a new place. Laquo; Jason graduates! On July 21, 2010.

8220;Imagination rules the world” – Napoleon Bonaparte. July 5, 2010. It is sad that it has taken me so long to put these wonderful pictures up. Our friend, Simon, with the help of his wonderful wife, Susana, helped record this exciting event (Thanks Simon and Susana! Jason graduated May 13. It was a very short walk and only a little cheering and yelling time for all that hard work! It was great though and we appreciate that Brian, Linda and Tim were willing to come for the celebration. I love this man!

Happy Birthday Aspen! | The Far Distance
https://thefardistance.wordpress.com/2010/07/31/happy-birthday-aspen
8220;Imagination rules the world” – Napoleon Bonaparte. July 31, 2010. Aspen wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up. So, for his birthday, he wanted prehistoric creatures on his banner and for his cake. No dinosaurs though, for a change. Just prehistoric creatures. Did I know what that means? Nope But, luckily Aspen has read many books and taught me and Jason. So, these are the results. I think it was a success, but he was more excited about Lego Harry Potter, go figure! On August 10, 2010.

https://thefardistance.wordpress.com/about
8220;Imagination rules the world” – Napoleon Bonaparte. Our blog was named in honor of Joel’s favorite imaginative “place”…. the far distance. That is where all the magic of his imagination happens. The name also relates to the fact that our little family is living a “far distance” from our family members. You know I adore your family! Thank you so much for these wonderful pictures. We were very excited that you all came to our Chanukah celebration at Temple Beth El. You are welcome anytime.

The Lake – our new swimming pool | The Far Distance
https://thefardistance.wordpress.com/2010/07/24/the-lake-our-new-swimming-pool
8220;Imagination rules the world” – Napoleon Bonaparte. July 24, 2010. The Lake – our new swimming pool. Thanks to our new friend, Emily, (Thanks, Emily! We have pictures of the children at the lake yesterday. I almost always forget the camera! There are two really fun lakes to swim in here. But, to be honest, our children have spent more time playing in the mud, then actually swimming. We were there for over 3 hours yesterday playing in the mud! Joel is making mini lakes and rivers. It was cool.
