Tuesday, 29 March 2011. This weeks word was cultivate, cultivate is another word that can be used for the meaning of growth. I'm not that keen on this piece of work because some of the hand drawn images arnt very clear, i like the colours and the effects I've put on it from editing. I'm also not keen on the digital text that Ive used along with the hand drawn image. Improvements that could be made. When we was doing a group Crete that said that my image could be Little clearer, and the lines being bolder.

I really like this particle artists work. i like how she expresses emotions through her simple work, using different types and expressive colours to suit the mood that, that particular piece relates to. Friday, 8 April 2011. Above is a selection of Laz Marquez's work, who is a graphic designer. I really like his work cause its simple but effective, i like how cost effective the designs would be to print cause there only two main colours in it. i also like how you wpuld probaly be able to guess the name of the films without the title being in the image, cause the imagery is that simple. I made both pieces out of card and maskin tape. and stained with a tea bag. over all im pleased with the end result but would. but would think about changing the type has you cant read it that much, thius was also advised by the peers of my group. Tuesday, 4 October 2011. Helvetica - Max Miedinger. Helvetica was first developed in 1957. By type designers Max Miedinger and Eduard Hoffmann at the haas'sche Schriftgiesserei. Haas set out to design a new sans-serif typeface that could compete with the successful Akzidenz-Grotesk in the swiss market.
