A diary of our Workamping experiences and travels. This was the first Bloomin' Bluegrass Festival in Farmers Branch, TX. The city put this on at no charge to the attendees. It was one of the best bluegrass festivals we have been to. Betty Jo and Jerry. Betty Jo and Jerry. Gruene Hall is Texas' Oldest Dance Hall. The town has avoided change through the years and is very charming. This hall appears to have the original flooring, tables, etc. All of the tables are engraaved! If these walls could talk!

A diary of our Workamping experiences and travels. We are back in San Benito TX, so good to be back, sort of like coming home! We enjoyed our trip back. We spent some time in Fredericksburg TX (aka the Hill country). We enjoyed the historic downtown area, lots of quaint little shops. We went to Lukenbach TX, had a burger and listened to a jam session. I have some pictures posted on the blog. We have two months to get things done and settle in before we start our workamping job here and teaching dance.

We're starting early morning kayaking trips and we did a trial run this morning. We saw deer, herring, swans, ducks, eagles, fish, and kayaked through rapids big enough fill the kayak with water and soak anyone sitting in the front seat! We had someone interested in the RV just last night so we stayed today and took them for a test drive. Not sure if it's going to work out but we're willing to stay a few extra days to wait and see.
