How was I supposed to write with only memories in my veins? Getting torn apart only a few months after legally being allowed to buy cigarettes to hide myself away from the pain in the billows of smoke; vodka to choke on and vomit so that there’s a physical pain to subtract from my heart being ripped apart in all different directions. And I can write again.
