Anna's Cool Finds: One of those drive by and recircles
http://mtkilimonjaro.blogspot.com/2009/03/one-of-those-drive-by-and-recircles.html
Trying out something new is fun! Friday, March 13, 2009. One of those drive by and recircles. As I was looking for a dinner place in Novato, I passed Tuscany Country Grill. And my head twisted itself backwards as I caught the sign. A surprise place! I had to turn around and make it my evening's dining destination. I started with their soup of the day, Potato Leek. It was a tad salty, but still good and with a nice base of flavor. I was very curious about the desserts, so I indulged in a tiramisu. It ...

Anna's Cool Finds: Bio- a little French twist in Sausalito
http://mtkilimonjaro.blogspot.com/2014/09/bio-little-french-twist-in-sausalito.html
Trying out something new is fun! Saturday, September 13, 2014. Bio- a little French twist in Sausalito. Bio started in San Francisco, and now its Sausalito location is not only open, but beckons with French hospitality. The window denotes that its menu has an emphasis on crepes, and it is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I think this is the only place in Marin to serve galettes, a buckwheat crepe that is gluten-free. The restaurant is also potato-free according to Sylvie. The Galette with ve...Subsc...

Anna's Cool Finds: Did Lemony Snicket write the script for my day?
http://mtkilimonjaro.blogspot.com/2008/05/did-lemony-snicket-write-script-for-my.html
Trying out something new is fun! Tuesday, May 20, 2008. Did Lemony Snicket write the script for my day? Yesterday was a strange one. But more on that later. In sync with the evening, unfortunately my pre-cinema experience at Champagne. There was only one other person in the restaurant who was already served when we arrived. The person serving was quite charming, but at the point we were served it was really too late to have a change and be on time for the movie. Not a happy turn of events, but we...Yes, ...

Anna's Cool Finds: Mireillade (a bell pepper ratatouille)
http://mtkilimonjaro.blogspot.com/2015/01/mireillade-bell-pepper-ratatouille.html
Trying out something new is fun! Thursday, January 15, 2015. Mireillade (a bell pepper ratatouille). Here's a unique recipe with multiple tastes that makes a great side dish with meat, or just eaten plain over rice. It's a French dish called Mireillade, a bell pepper ratatouille. Although it features bell peppers, I find the grapes and lemons make the dish. Preparation time: 15 minutes. Cooking time: 180 minutes. 1/2 cup Black olives. 1/2 cup Green olives (I used Castelvetrano). Serves 6 (large servings).

Anna's Cool Finds: Won many awards
http://mtkilimonjaro.blogspot.com/2009/08/won-many-awards.html
Trying out something new is fun! Thursday, August 27, 2009. One of the first things you notice when entering Phyllis' Giant Burgers. In San Rafael are all the Pacific Sun awards hanging near the ceiling above the grill. Apparently Phyllis' burgers have been Marin favorites for many a year. Dad was in the mood for an All-American burger, so this was just the place. Dad and I shared an order of French Fries, which were hot and good, but not extra special. Find address/phone number/directions on. My other, ...

http://mtkilimonjaro.blogspot.com/2006/11/italian-with-middle-eastern-flair.html
Trying out something new is fun! Friday, November 17, 2006. Italian with a Middle Eastern flair. I had a very busy day, and Dad didn't leave the house so we decided to go afield for a little gastronomic adventure for dinner this evening. I drove to San Rafael, and recalled that there were a number of interesting restaurants further north on fourth street than I usually venture. When we drove to the north end, I noticed Hanna's.
