Gov’t lawyers ask for more time in Janet Jackson “Nipplegate”. Oct 15th, 2008 By admin. Government lawyers are seeking an extension of time to decide whether to seek Supreme Court review of the indecency fine against CBS stations that aired the Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake halftime show during the 2004 Super Bowl. The extension, if granted, would give the government until November 18th to make its decision, two weeks after the Supreme Court hears arguments in the FCC/Fox profanity matter.
