The as-available electricity produced by the Wailuku independent power project is purchased by Hawaii Electric Light Company, Inc. under a long-term power purchase agreement.

Operations for BHE Renewables’ three solar projects are headquartered in Phoenix, Ariz. Topaz Solar Farms. Is a 550-megawatt photovoltaic power plant in San Luis Obispo County, California. The project reached substantial completion in 2014. The 586-megawatt Solar Star. Solar project in partnership with NRG Energy. The 290-megawatt photovoltaic power plant, located in Yuma County, Arizona, was completed in April 2014. In total, these projects represent 1,278 megawatts of owned solar generation.

The company owns 10 geothermal facilities in California’s Imperial Valley that have the capacity to produce up to 338 megawatts. Its natural gas-fueled plants include a 551-megawatt plant in Illinois, a 240-megawatt plant in New York, a 212-megawatt plant in Texas and a 50-megawatt plant in Arizona.

Bhere was formed in 1954. Major projects have involved the purchase and renovation of four historic hotels in Wells, Somerset. Following those successes, Bhere has focused on house building and commercial lettings. Our aim is to build sustainable housing that is both distinctive and eye catching. In our last major development, a derelict hospital in Wells was transformed into 18 unique houses. These homes won awards from both the LABC and Somerset Building Preservation Trust.
