BLUENATIC: April 2011
http://bluenatic.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Who is this impostor, this Bizzaro Phil Simms? Thursday, April 14, 2011. In an increasingly crazy, unpredictable world in which there are few, if any, absolutes, it's reassuring as a sports fan to know that there are certain things that never change. Players, coaches. I like to use uniform numbers as mnemonic devices. Someone tells me to meet them at 4153 Main Street, I process that as Tom Seaver, Harry Carson Main Street. Someone tells me their phone number is 647-2731? Every game day in tribute. My bud...

BLUENATIC: September 2010
http://bluenatic.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Giants Atrocious, Nephew Precocious. Monday, September 27, 2010. As an added bonus, I got to see one of my all-time favorite Giants. In the flesh as we were walking into the stadium. I took it as a sign. Games will be won and games will be lost. Some weeks we will exit the stadium exhilirated and other weeks we will leave dejected. But I learned today that in the presence of the right company, there are no bad days at (New) Giants Stadium. Please, No Autographs. Sunday, September 12, 2010.

BLUENATIC: October 2009
http://bluenatic.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
The Wrecking Ball Can Wait. Thursday, October 29, 2009. Giants Stadium, I'm wont to imagine, is dying before my eyes. Game by game, tribute by tribute. It is passing into the past. But it isn't really dying so much as it's being euthanized. In 2009, it's the Logan 5. Of stadiums, running at top speed towards forced obsolescence despite remaining, on its surface, vital and spirited. By Spring it will be a parking lot, but for now and for the remainder of the season, it's home. Ah, who am I kidding? Come b...

BLUENATIC: The 15 Worst Giants Losses I Can Remember
http://bluenatic.blogspot.com/2008/04/15-worst-giants-losses-i-can-remember.html
The 15 Worst Giants Losses I Can Remember. Friday, April 4, 2008. Nearly nine weeks have passed now since the Giants' stunning win. In Super Bowl XLII. They’ve had their ticker-tape parade. They’ve even designed and been fitted for their "ten table" championship rings. And now, with the draft looming in just a few short weeks, they're back to work. In this scenario, the fan of the team that wasn't quite good enough to win it all. It's something I've gotten used to. Than by its historic victories. To win ...

BLUENATIC: My Night In the Giants Stadium Press Box
http://bluenatic.blogspot.com/2010/10/my-night-in-giants-stadium-pressbox.html
My Night In the Giants Stadium Press Box. Friday, October 29, 2010. I’ve been thinking a lot about Giants Stadium lately, and especially today, because it marks an anniversary of sorts. One year ago today I got my first and last glimpse at the Giants Stadium press box. And The New York Times. Before I ever stepped foot on campus at The University of Michigan, I'd already sent all of my clippings to the sports editor at The. Last fall, opportunity knocked when the fledgling United Football League announce...

BLUENATIC: April 2010
http://bluenatic.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Welcome to (New) Giants Stadium, Where Your Seats May or May Not Exist. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. And I got our first up-close look at the Giants' swanky new 1.7 billion dollar digs on Saturday morning. Despite being denied the pleasure of a rare offseason tailgate. We were both very much looking forward to sitting down in the seats we just plunked down twenty grand for *. And for me to once nearly catch an errant punt during pregame warm-ups, but row 4? What an absolutely deflating moment. We felt li...

BLUENATIC: Frank Gifford: Icon
http://bluenatic.blogspot.com/2013/08/frank-gifford-icon.html
Tuesday, August 20, 2013. I recently had the chance to fulfill a life-long dream by interviewing Giants legend Frank Gifford for the Fall 2013 issue of. Magazine, which I serve as a contributing editor. The version of the interview that runs in the magazine was edited down significantly due to space limitations, so I figured I'd post the full, unabridged 4,000-word interview here for the Giants diehards who might be interested. Enjoy. I find that kind of amazing, don’t you? Let me ask you about Charley&#...

BLUENATIC: November 2009
http://bluenatic.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
An Open Letter to Jeffrey Lange, Infamous Snowball Thrower. Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Dear Jeff (can I call you Jeff? You're a rather difficult fellow to find, I must say, especially for a lazy non-reporter like myself who didn't try very hard. My guess is, after the unfortunate events of December 23, 1995. And their subsequent aftermath. You moved away from the area. Who could blame you? Mind you. The season, I'm sure you remember, opened with a 35-0 home loss to Dallas on Monday Night Football and...
