Easter Avenue Company: Painted Floors
http://easteravenueco.blogspot.com/2015/04/painted-floors.html
Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Here we are, knee deep in our kitchen renovation and we're SO EXCITED! Has been going on forever. Progress was slow, sometimes stopped for months at a time. We either had money and no time or time and no money. But now it's happening.for real! Our little Florida cottage was built in 1924, and most of the house is original. Except the kitchen. The original owners renovated in the 70's and maybe again in the 80's and were big fans of linoleum. Like really big fans. But we did it!

Friday, February 13, 2015. DIY Kiss Kiss Blankie. OoohI'm excited about this little muslin blankie.it's SO cute! Muslin (1 yard) (or you can buy a muslin blanket). Non-toxic water based acrylic craft paint (I used light pink, red, and salmon). I started off by pre-washing (in hot water) a yard of inexpensive muslin fabric from JoAnn. With a coupon it came to a little over $3. To get nice, straight angles, I folded it in half. And then in half again. Just cut the raw end. Do the same to the side. I altern...

Saturday, October 13, 2012. Josh and Alyssa's House. We recently spent a weekend with my cousins, Alyssa and Josh. It was so much fun spending time with them and checking out. Look at this cute little neighborhood! Seriously, look at those floors. Love the exposed brick! The kitchen has TONS of storage. I absolutely love this house. Thanks to Alyssa and Josh. For letting me show it off. Thursday, October 11, 2012. I bought this at a thrift store for $50 about 5 years ago. It came out pretty great. Check ...

Thursday, April 11, 2013. A little TLC for an old dresser. Found this beauty at a thrift store. Solid wood, dovetail joints, and I only paid $75 for it. I painted it white and changed out the knobs. Fast forward 8 years. It needed a little TLC. Kevin thought it would be funny to paint one of the knobs gold and I never got around to switching it.). Two knobs were missing.it was looking pretty rough. I sanded all the drawers and the shell of the dresser. Then painted it this beautiful putty-grey color.

Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Biglin Boys' Room Gets New Look. The boys had some water damage on the ceiling,. And that yellow and green paint had to go. This wall had 'frames' wallpaper from The Land of Nod. The boys loved drawing on the wallpaper. But after 5 years, the novelty wore off. The Christmas tree is one of my favorites. We sprayed the paper with equal parts vinegar and hot water. After a few minutes, it peeled off easily. It took a couple hours to clear the bottom half. Martha Stewart alphabet cards.

Easter Avenue Company: Lowly Worm Tutorial
http://easteravenueco.blogspot.com/2015/04/lowly-worm-tutorial.html
Wednesday, April 15, 2015. My nephew, Sebastian, had a Richard Scarry party for his 2nd birthday. So when my sister-in-law asked me to make a Lowly Worm, I was totally on board! I love when there's a theme and everything ties together. And who's cuter than Lowly Worm? Since this guy came out so cute (and was easy to make). I thought I'd show you how it's done. 1 quarter yard of cotton fabric for each color:. 1 sheet of felt for each color:. Large paper 12" x 20" (to create your pattern). This part is a l...
