Brewers Notes: Halloween Party
http://brewersnotes.blogspot.com/2012/12/halloween-party.html
Monday, December 10, 2012. Saturday, November 3rd - Fenny Stratford. Yep, I know, a month late. It all started with a cunning plan to get the women folk interested in going out to the Halloween party at the local pub. If the guys had a theme costume figured out then the women would feel obliged and everyone wins! Friar Tuck, monks "bring out your dead". And other mass themes were explored. Instead we decided to build a coffin and throw Mike in it! Around 9 we headed down to the pub with our coffin in tow.

Brewers Notes: Brackley Festival Of Motorcycling
http://brewersnotes.blogspot.com/2012/08/brackley-festival-of-motorcycling.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. Brackley Festival Of Motorcycling. Sunday, August 19th - Brackley. This post will be light on commentary, the pics can speak for themselves. This morning I got up and headed to Brackley for a big motorcycle festival. They closed off the high street and ran "parade laps of vintage Gp bikes. Somehow I found myself on the center island, in a prime position to view the race. It's only a parade lap until you get a second bike on the race course. August 29, 2012 at 9:04 AM. My reward f...

Brewers Notes: National Motorcycle Museum, West Midlands (Birmingham)
http://brewersnotes.blogspot.com/2011/02/national-motorcycle-museum-west.html
Saturday, February 12, 2011. National Motorcycle Museum, West Midlands (Birmingham). This morning I ran over to the National Motorcycle Museum. Probably the most impressive collection of bikes, ever. A "modern" Manx built from new components designed to race in vintage classes. Brough Superior SS100. Specifically the SS100 Sprint favored by T.E. Lawrence. Sexy bar end levers with the cable run through the bars. Very slick and uncluttered. Morgan 3 wheeler, the second I've seen this trip. The Black Shadow...

Brewers Notes: New Blog Post!
http://brewersnotes.blogspot.com/2012/02/new-blog-post.html
Saturday, February 11, 2012. Saturday, February 11th 2012 - Oxford. Conversation starters for pot-heads. UK cigarette box type warnings; "Vanity causes ugliness", "Eating healthy may help you live to an age when no one cares about you", "Anti-oxidants may cause your body to outlive your mind". Where is it, why is it? It's part of an installation at the Pitt Rivers. Anywho, cabin fever was starting to set in. I decided to go visit Oxford this morning, home of Oxford University. The fossilized skeleton of ...

Brewers Notes: Shuttleworth Airshow
http://brewersnotes.blogspot.com/2011/08/shuttleworth-airshow.html
Sunday, August 14, 2011. My reward for getting the yardwork done. Taking the afternoon to go to the Shuttleworth Airshow. I visited the collection back in January http:/ brewersnotes.blogspot.com/2011/01/shuttleworth-collection.html. It's my 2nd most popular post. What's interesting about the Shuttleworth collection airshow is that because it contains some of the oldest aircraft in the world, they start much later that normal shows so that the Edwardian aircraft can fly in the still evening air (. The Se...

Brewers Notes: Shuttleworth Collection
http://brewersnotes.blogspot.com/2011/01/shuttleworth-collection.html
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Richard Shuttleworth died in an airplane accident in 1940(? But not before spending some of his family's fortune on airplanes, cars and motorcycles. The trust his mother started after his death has helped support the eventual expansion and acquisitions you see now. Who wants to go outside and play? The museum's Hawker Hurricane undergoing winter maintenance. A later model Spitfire in the process of restoration. (. 7 years down, 7 to go). The Sopwith Camel (. I have, a lot....

Brewers Notes: Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show
http://brewersnotes.blogspot.com/2011/10/classic-motorcycle-mechanics-show.html
Saturday, October 15, 2011. Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show. Saturday, October 15th - Stafford. Friday I got home from Sudbury to find my back issues of Dirty Magazine. The publisher is also a cracking pinstriper and sign painter. Saturday I decided to head off to the Stafford motorcycle show and swap meet. It was massive! Do you know what this is? The Wall of Death used to be a staple at county fairs everywhere. I feel lucky to have seen it. No helmet, no gloves, no hands! Indian scount roller queen.
