江苏大学生物质能源研究所目前设有专用能源植物改造、白蚁生物系统利用与仿生、基因工程、酶工程、代谢过程与工程、极端 / 肠道微生物、生物反应器工程、生物基材料等10 个实验室,主要在新型能源植物开发、高效微生物资源利用、代谢过程与工程模拟、仿生生物反应器构建等领域开展研究,通过采用现代生物技术与工程技术及信息技术相结合的手段,开发木质纤维素高效生物降解和转化的新原理和配套新技术,以期从根本上解决和攻克生物质能源技术体系中高效和经济转化的国际性难题。 因此,江苏大学生物质能源研究所已逐步形成自己较强的研究特色,并长期坚持“多元、创新、求是、拼搏”的发展理念,在生物质利用和高效转化的基础研究和产业化应用方面,力争形成 并转化一批具有自主知识产权的科技创新成果, 并在较短的时间内 成为国际国内有较高知名度和影响力的高水平研究所。
