Meet the Green Girls. What the Green Girls do. Tourism Brand and Product Marketing. Masi Township by Bike. July 7, 2014. By Dr Louise de Waal. How often have you had the conversation with people about the awkwardness of township tours and their sense of voyeurism? Meet the Green Girls. What the Green Girls do. Tourism Brand and Product Marketing. January 7, 2015. By Dr Louise de Waal. On our recent road trip to the Northern Cape, we decided to include Augrabies National Park, simply because it is one of those places that you include in an itinerary, if you are in the area anyway. How wrong could I have been, to think that the falls was all this park has to offer? Its ever-changing scenery is mesmerising and awe-inspiringly beautiful. All photos Louise de Waal.

To come up close and personal with these gentle giants is for many people a lifelong aspiration. A few years ago I was so fortunate to have a truly close-up elephant experience in Botswana, which made me realise that animal interactions can create positive connections and can be responsible at the same time. On flickr, where I post under another name, there is a drive towards eyeballs which pushes your efforts in a certain direction. It is hard to break out of that. On my other blog I post photos of my travels. Elsewhere I post photos of people. I think I’m getting stale. I need a place where I can do only what I feel like doing. I need a studio in public view where I can improve at what I can do. I hope this will become such a place. 2 thoughts on “ About. November 27, 2016 at 11:46 am. And because I respec...
