Saturday, May 29, 2010. The Rebel House Summer's. When the sun refuses to sleep and your shoes are traded in for flip flops, it can only mean one thing - patio season is in. The weather in Toronto has been incredibly warm lately, and after a long, grey winter, I'm more than happy to welcome in the summer sun. On Friday, I hit up the backyard patio at The Rebel House. The mussels were cooked in a garlic-cilantro broth and served with rye toast. They gave me A LOT of mussels - over two and half dozen?

The Chubby Gourmet: March 2010

All in a day's eating. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Part deux) - Splendido. Part 2 to my part 2. I wanted to send off my final evening in Toronto with a blast, gastronomically. After searching through a few sites, I got word of Splendido. It sounded like an upscale, modern Italian restaurant. Management changed recently but apparently the standard has remained. To describe or represent something fleeting or intangible, in a lasting medium. Tuesday, August 26, 2008. I know what I know if you know what I mean. It was a good weekend. Sunshine and shoe shopping, drinks and dinners, a night at the movies, running, and tennis. Like Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder, this summer has been a pleasant surprise. Saturday, 16 November 2013. Hey Meatball - Toronto. Date: 6 November 2013. 4 - 6 November was my hell week (my workweek is only three day long but you could put another day in there as I had to pack for my US trip and I hate packing). To celebrate my temporary exit from hell, I went to have really photogenic meatball spaghetti with my awesome Swiss friend, Alexia. I've totally just discovered the stone/concrete robot as I think about what caption to write. Perfect. Previous jokes include IT'S BALL-O-WEEN.

A blog about food and life, the strangeness that happens while eating food in life, and my life of photographing food. Saturday, 27 April 2013. Chipotle mayo, house barbeque sauce, roasted red peppers, coleslaw- I think so! To address my other floggers, some of you characters have complained about the lack of seating. Are we serious? Unlike some others we didn’t experience any lines, but the place is mini, kind of like a Polly pocket, so it does fill up quickly. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

There's No Free Lunch on Bay St! Food reviews and random thoughts.". Wednesday, September 2, 2009. Black Camel: Consistently Fantastic! Mistakenly, many people try to compare this little café’s sandwiches to BBQ brisket/pulled pork sandwiches. Sure, you can compare them to Lou Dawg’s, Phil’s or many of Toronto’s mediocre BBQ smoke houses. But such a comparison would be both dead wrong with culinary standards and unfair to the comparison candidates. Why? Either way, it’s a deduction. If the sand...One day...
