Thursday, February 6, 2014. Looking for another 200km week this week in sunny Hobart. 130kms registered on the weekend and another 60 during the week with two 30km rides to Granton. Yesterday did the Strickland Avenue climb up to Fern Tree for another 20odd Kms. So target achieved. Starting to think about carrying stuff on the bike. Sunday, September 20, 2009. BHB training camp Phuket. The Phuket training camp started on Saturday 12th with a light ride over to Patong for me and Danny did some loops of the Kata-Karon loop. On Sunday we took off for Suring beach via Patong and Kamala. The hills to Patong were sharp reminder of what was to follow. A magician kept them enthralled for 45 minutes and then gave each a party bag with whistles and horns. Twelve kids then proceeded to outblow and whistle each other.

It was the first race of of a three race series with aquathon, duathlon and finally triathlon with about 6 weeks between each event.
