BLACK SHEEP GALLERY - ALLEN SAPP. Allen Sapp (1928 2015) was a descendant of the legendary Cree leader Poundmaker. His mother died of tuberculosis when he was young and he was raised by his grandmother Maggie Soonias. Allen was very sick as child and never learned to read or write but often filled his time drawing pictures. He survived spinal meningitis at the age of 14 but lost four of his seven brothers and sisters during the depression.
