A wedding in the wine country outside of Capetown, South Africa gave me dozens of ideas for art. The dancing was great so I used some photos to create "Shake your Booty". My life in Colored Pencil. Saturday, January 26, 2008. An old photo of my mother from the '30's showed a playful look on her face that I rarely saw. I tried to capture it in "Begin the Beguine", named after a Cole Porter song she liked. A good friend showed me some photos from the '50's of her husband's bar mitzvah. My life in Colored Pencil. Friday, February 1, 2008. I agreed to participate in a cooperative project with some local poets and my piece, "Another Day" resulted from it. As my choice of an inspirational poem, I selected a piece about the the poet's elderly father, alone in the kitchen in the morning, carefully preparing his oatmeal. This is what the poem suggested to me. I was drawn to this immediately. it reminds me so much of my grandpa. thank you for sharing this with us. =). March 18, 2008 at 3:05 PM.

My life in Colored Pencil. Thursday, December 18, 2008. We had a nice fall . . . Vermont was doing its 'autumn thing' for the tourists when I was there - "October 18" - and I was hooked too. I had to go back for my camera on a walk when I saw this colorful "Pokeberry Jungle". I was pleased when a judge allowed this weed into an art show with a "Garden" theme! Just another day in Paradise. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. All along "our Journey" with Hyperinsulinism we were blessed over and over again with. BUT, just a few months before us the hospital had had another child come in with Hyperinsulinism! Secondly, Ruthie was HAPPY. The whole time we were chillin in the hospital, Ruth was on an IV that stabilized her and she was perfectly content and happy. Actually, she was a real JOY to be around. Thank you.
