Saturday, December 3, 2011. The noise was deafening. Near the end of the tour we got the opportunity to crawl through the tunnels. As a tourist, an adventurous one at that, you simply cant go to the tunnels without going through them. Picture a small hole, accessed through a stepped well, which you effectively crawl into for a certain length of time. The tunnels changed direction, went up and down and were very dimly lit. We visited ruins, ate country food, and harvested rice. United States of America.

Wednesday, October 12, 2011. Had a BBQ the other weekend. I kid you not. London went through what is known as an Indian Summer. Just great weather peaking at around the 30 degree mark. Yowza. So, after watching the ruggers, we loaded up the BBQ with around 20 different animals and some corn, and got stuck in. What a great way to end what has, up till now, been a pretty dismal Summer. Friday, November 25, 2011. Selling my soul (with my cigarettes). Although neightbours, Vietnam is a far cry from the relaxed atmosphere found in Laos. A night in the harbour was spent putting up with generators, rattling windows and a Rotorua smell permeating our cabin before we headed back to Hanoi for a couple of nights. As of a few weeks ago i have been back in NZ and as of last monday i have been working studiously in my new job as an architectural draughtsman for a local firm here called MAP. So far the job has been going alright, the usual hiccups for the new staff but i guess thats all part of the parcel huh. I use for my pictures.
